yeah. basically, a loser. with hyperfixations on anime/game characters that you consume millions of content of. you probably sleep with plushies too and read fanfiction before sleeping. or you're doomscrolling reddit/tiktok/some form of social media and sleeping at 3 in the morning.

Who's big, who's small? Who cares. Either one is just such an odd pairing and it just feels like a wild plot waiting to happen with two very adventurous risk taking characters. Did some tiny sailor wash up near a farm?

Did a cowpoke somehow get himself Gullivered and is dealing with a bunch of tiny sailors returning to harbor only to see some giant dude washed up on the shore?

Who knows. All I know is I'd read that so fast.

Student Athlete / Knight

Again, could go either way and be a wildly fun dynamic. Tiny night finds himself reverse isekai'd and found by some student athlete? Maybe they act as a mentor to their new (and very large) squire?

Or just himbo/herbo jock gets themselves Gullivered and somehow winds up in the care of a knight who's taken them on to help serve the nation. I just love the idea of a more stern knight and a super hype jock?? Like bringing that sports team hype to training sessions and the knight finds it endearing appalling.

I was very skeptical and I didn't expect positive reactions from ppl bc I never wrote anything this angsty before + I was SO sure I went overboard with reader DYING, since that was a bit of a wild turn of events not included in the request 😭 I wasn't sure if ppl would vibe with this decision, but I just couldn't stop myself, the stakes weren't high if reader just got better 😩 (i bent all rules of the universe to suit the needs of the fic. sukuna can't heal terminal illness in this one otherwise it wouldn't work😭)

I'm so hyped to write a little sequel when reader is reborn and Sukuna has to be very careful with how he goes about taking them back ✨ But there's a lot to think about with that one! Stay tuned <3

You definitely did an amazing job at conveying the deeper attraction and more complicated emotional nuances behind their interactions doom 😔 enemies to lovers is always hella hit or miss for me but this was a clean bullseye from day one 🫠 I won't take up too much of your time going off about it but the way you wrote out mcs character and past trauma with her previous team (and potentially her dad if my dory memory serves me right???) and how it plays into the way she handles each situation and her relationship with the boys is so well balanced and beautifully laid out. I sincerely appreciate that you took the time to flesh her out as a multifaceted individual who has her strengths and her flaws and moments of weakness too, it makes me love her so much as a character 🩷 I totally get why woo would be on his knees for her ngl 😔

And woo is definitely a favourite character right now!! I can definitely see how he's the most honest with mc, love him sm for that. Makes me wanna roll him up and eat him like a little croissant 😔 can't wait to see more of him (and the results of whatever happened between that car and yeosangie's little hacker cave 😳) next week 🤭

AHHH YOU CAME TO MY ASK BOX IM SO EXCITED!!!

this makes me so so so excited to just show off more of the everyone's backstories. like the amount of planning and world building that went into this and how it affects the things they do and how they treat mc. How mc reacts to them is also so important for the storyline. She needed to be a character that fit both the role of a detective, but also would fit in with them. Still since this is a reader insert i still have to keep a certain vagueness to her (thus while despite her past with SK, and the hints of her father's legacy, the rest is pretty blank) Right now ive tried to mostly give each of them their own time and spotlight with mc. Things that sparked their curiosity in each other, while simultaneously moving the plot. Again i built a whole ass mafia world, back stories, underlying plot points and more for this and i am so hyped to show it!

Hyped enough that im already working on the next chapter cuz u just got me so excited for it! (unfortunately Woo has had his time and someone else is going to get a little more heavy focused but Woo will still be there, doing what he does best hehe) I hope you'll continue to like the story, and i would love to hear theories. it just fuels me even more to know the little hints i place are seen and im really so so so happy you've picked up on a lot of them already! Plus the dynamics ive been working on <3

I just watched the season 4 teaser and I neeed your thoughts

AHHH HELLO FRIEND it's been a fucking minute hasn't it???? obx is back after what feels like a billion years and for the first time in about that long i'm feeling the buzz for it again!!!

SO the teaser let's ramble about it for way too long

before getting into any of the specific content, i just wanna say that this teaser felt SO different from the s3 teaser. and that might sound like a bad thing at first cause imo the s3 teaser is the best piece of promo the obx team has ever put out, BUTTTT i think this teaser needed to have a different feel.

the writers and some of the actors (i think chase mainly) have repeatedly stated that this season goes back to basics a bit and refocuses on the characters and the bonds between them, and it truly feels like this teaser was doing exactly that. it wasn't really showing us many hints about the plot or massive action set pieces, it seemed much more interested in showing us our pogues. THAT is where the hype comes from with this teaser.

it might seem a bit lackluster and small compared to other teasers we've gotten, but i'm very happy with how they're already choosing to promo this season so far BECAUSE it feels more intimate reminiscent of s1 in that way.

i could absolutely eat my words about their intentions with this as promo continues, and i do think they'll still end up doing their usual bigger, action heavy plot heavy trailer, but as a first real teaser??? it's really making me trust their statements about refocusing the show.

if this ISNT how the season starts i am going to be absolutely floored. i'm hoping so badly that it's an even more direct parallel to the opening scene of 1x01, with pope, kie, and jj down below ragging on john b to come help them build the dock or whatever. bonus points if john b drops the gold he's holding and almost breaks jj's foot or something. like i want as dead on of a parallel as humanly possible pates if you're gonna go for it, fucking GO FOR IT

i'm very curious as to how much of the time jump is gonna be exposited via montage and john b narration. i assume a lot of the building of the bunkhouse and dock and fixing up jj's house (which is kind of a shame cause how emotional must that have been for him????? but it's fine it's just RIPE for fanfic that way). but according to bts there's at least one scene that was filmed from the in between that might be an actual scene rather than montage (i won't say in case people don't want spoilers but it involves jiara). or maybe that's part of the montage too, we truly have no clue at this point. i'm just so stoked to see these new sets!!!! i'll forever miss the chateau like my heart actually splinters every time i think about it but the pogues having a new home base on jj's land is something really special too.

core 4 scuba mission as yet another parallel to s1 like are we in heaven??? and jiara are the ones that actually dive???????? jj reassuring her beforehand????????????? john b and pope teasing them???? potential jiara cheek kiss?????? it doesn't get better than this

there is no screenshot of this that doesn't look absolutely horrid but that doesn't matter WHAT MATTERS IS THAT JJ FINALLY GETS TO PUNCH RAFE. they fucking heard our prayers i cannot believe it. i REALLY hope this is juicy as hell and leads into a full on fight that the pogues have to try to break up (i would've liked it even better if they had a truly one on one fight with no one else around so we could see how evenly matched they undoubtedly are but whatever whatever this could be super dramatic and fun in different ways too).

also double points if he's defending sarah and/or kie in some way. double double points if this tension has been building for the entire season up until this point cause i've been saying for YEARS that jj and rafe could have such an interesting dynamic but they barely have ANY scenes together. i am desperate and begging and this gives me so much hope oh my GOD also if you saw me edit this into this post cause i forgot to include it the first time no you didn't

aaaaand with that, that's pretty much all i feel like i wanted to talk about, there's a few other interesting things to speculate about but like i said before, this teaser really gives nothing away. or at least it doesn't if you've been following bts

Ok so now that I have time to collect my very important and profound thoughts and also take in everyone else's reactions (which is what I normally do, I am a scientist who observes above all else before scribbling down my nonsense ramblings /lh) , chapter 8 of glass divine let's gooo

The Las Nevadas guys!! Seeing Purpled just in the bg made me so happy. I always get so hyped whenever he appears in any fic I read, even if he appears for (1) scene. What a guy, what a fella.

Quackity is great, as always. The Pythia's Prophecy drink rlly does sound like something that would exist in this universe, it's such a fun silly concept to me. I kinda want to try it lol.

His conversation with Wilbur is rlly neat and it's great to see Wilbur's narrow world view being slowly expanded bit by bit each chapter, this time by introducing him to the magical concept of agnostic people.

The subtle foreshadowing with the glass and 'card reader' and the growing sense of "ayo smth's not right with that" but not knowing exactly what is so well done!!! Ahhh I love your writing sm.

AND THE BIRD IN THE CAGE, IN WILBUR'S RIBCAGE BEING THE EXTENDED METAPHOR IN THIS STORY IS SO COOL. FUCK I LOVE METAPHORS SO MUCH YOU GET SO CREATIVE WITH THEM I JUST KAVSKSBJSV

An idea I have in my head of the bird almost being like a phoenix, being reborn with each new Pythia and being broken down every single time from a symbol of strength and resilience to just being a pretty bird in a cage to be admired but not for what it actually could be because that was stripped away from it, only for the idea of it and for people to constantly poke at it with a stick but not truly hearing it or seeing its pain or it for its worth I just wahhhh.

But I can't avoid the elephant in the room anymore lol. Tommy's reveal at the end, here we go.

I have mixed feelings about it because of the beauty of grey morality in characters. Wilbur has been nothing but a massive asshole to Tommy and the other Deathlings since he got there, which is very justified, I'm not trying to say it wasn't he was kidnapped lol. Wilbur also tried to kill Tommy like not even two weeks ago, the two aren't really comparable.

We see the story through Wilbur's eyes, we get an insight into him that Tommy will never get because as emotional intelligent and observant as Tommy is, he is not psychic and he is 18 years old. He does not have the greatest critical thinking skills in the world when it comes to things like this. In his head, the means justifies the end.

Is this going to cause Wilbur a massive amount of stress? Yes, of course it will. His identity was stripped away and he's been like this for like more than a decade, Tommy is trying to make progress at undoing a process that has done undeniable damage to Wilbur's psyche. However Wilbur's perception of this is of course going to be horribly skewed and he's not going to see Tommy's good intentions behind this right now; he's only going to see it as a massive 'betrayal' (I use that v loosely, he destroyed whaf little trust they had w that murder attempt) from Tommy and is going to be extremely bitter about it and his narration of this event is going to affect our view of it because we only see it through Wilbur's eyes and his processing of this, we don't see Tommy's anxiety leading up to this or his thought process on *why* he's doing this. We go off observations, theories and what Tommy himself tells us, we don't have a direct line into his brain like we do Wilbur.

This is a necessary evil in Wilbur's healing process because you can't exactly gently nudge Wilbur in the way healing forever, especially with how harshly he's been responding to any sort of criticism of the Pythia traditions and his role. They don't know if he ever will go there himself and you can't do anything new or heal if you don't push yourself or in this case, have the teenager who you tried to murder push you there.

And the disrespecting religion argument isn't a great one either since the whole Pythia system definitely needs to be reworked and Wilbur has done nothing but shit on the Deathlings and demean their religion since he was there, doing next to nothing to understand why they practice and believe what they do. He somewhat respects them as people and individuals but not their religion. Tommy ignoring (1) piece of Wilbur's restrictions isn't exactly on the same level.

okay yeah you understand exactly what I was going for. tommy doing what he did is a whole messy situation that has no clear cut answer. wilbur has been a huge asshole to everyone around him since he got there which is understandable given that he was kidnapped yes! but he tried to murder tommy! tommy invading his privacy to find out his name is not comparable!

but yeah I think everyones reactions to this is just a reminder that 'oh my unreliable narration is working really well'. as you all know by now I love working with skewed POVs. it makes a story so much more interesting to have it filtered so heavily through a characters biases which is exactly what's happening here. tommy does not have the same insight into wilbur's head that the readers do. he is stumbling blindly trying to figure out what the best way to do this is. and we don't see into tommy's head either or how he came to the conclusion that this was something he had to do in the first place. again, biased POV my beloved.

Hello! Thank you! It's done! It's out in the wild! It's escaped from my control and now it's hunting other rareships for sport I mean

I've been stalled out on former heroes for a while, apparently in response to Life Stuff, but that's settling down a bit and my interest in that fic is picking back up. I am very excited about the story I have planned, and hype to get to share it, so...guess I have to write it. I've also had a burst of productivity on tam lin's twin, the last installment in the robber bridegroom and other stories - I have a very specific idea about what's going on with Will in that AU and I'm really excited to get to show it off, I'm just trying to figure out how to foreshadow it well.

I'm still plugging away at why can't we be ourselves like we were yesterday, the Steve/Nancy/Jonathan post-s3 bodyswap fic, and that same small town in each of us, the s1 ageswap AU, but haven't really made any new headway on either recently. And I couldn't tell you what's closest to being finished next.

(Also, I'm still planning to eventually finish and post Le Morte d'Artificial Intelligence, and I've been writing a blue streak on Fearleading Squad, though unfortunately I don't think I have any samples for that one up yet.)

So! Lots and lots in the pipeline. Sadly, no ETAs on anything.

Ahh, yes! It's the same for me, for the one subject I'll take anything and the other I want a good grade😅.

I have a random story for you: (I'm so.. idk.. giddy.. happy?) a friend of mine confessed she had feelings for me a couple of days back and now we're kinda exploring things.. we didn't know eachother for super long but we got really close quite fast and I hadn't thought about it like that, but when she told me I was like, holy- maybe this is what it is like to fancy someone, because I really enjoy her company and I just can smile when I think about her.. so now we have been on 2 dates (in 4 days haha) and yesterday evening when I cycled with her to her home we had a kiss (omgomgomg) it was my first kiss, and I'll be honest, it was quite a short kiss so idk if it was good, but I have thought about it ever since it happend. This afternoon she is eating at my place, and I can't wait to see her. (Also she said her parents saw me drop her off and said they where happy for us, (she's had a gf before me) and they think I am nice (i have been there a couple times) but I'm kinda nervous for meeting them again now.. in a 'dating their daughter' role 😅 and also I am so new to this all, because- AHHH- i want to ask her to be my gf and stuff but I also don't want to move to quickly... but yeah 😅. That was it haha, I now feel like an anon who would be in hachengi her asks haha.
